| My name is John Paul Belmont. I live in New York City. I've been drawing since I was about 2 I think. I'm 23 now. I started out drawing comic book art. That type of art has been a huge influence on me and for a time it was what I really wanted to do with my life. Then I saw Alex Ross's art and it changed the way I thought of drawing. I started to want my drawings to be realistic. I wanted to make things come alive. So, since then I've focused on portrait type art but I've still been drawing comic images. It's just that now, for the most part, I draw them in portrait form. I would like to branch out and draw other things but so far nothing has caught my attention or interest. I'd also like to try painting, sculpting and working in color I really love drawing and I want to have a career as an artist but I need to expose myself to other things and find out more about the art world. Hopefully you like my stuff and if you do or don't please let me know what you have to say. I'm always open to advise. |
